Looking for the best breakfast on Anna Maria Island? The island has beachfront cafés, longtime local diners, coffee shops, bakeries, and a few French spots, spread across three cities. This guide is organized by city so you can find a good breakfast close to where you are staying. Anna Maria is at the north end, Holmes Beach is in the middle, and Bradenton Beach is at the south end.

Anna Maria

Beachside Bites is a walk-up breakfast and lunch window on the south side of the Sandbar Seafood & Spirits building. The Donut Experiment

At The Donut Experiment, you build your own made-to-order donut. Pick a base such as vanilla, chocolate, or maple, then add toppings like sprinkles, nuts, fruity cereal, or bacon, and finish with a drizzle. The coffee list runs from classic drip to specialty espresso drinks. Take your donut to the picnic tables out front before heading to the beach. Ginny’s and Jane E’s Café

Fifty Three Fifty, The Pourhouse

Fifty Three Fifty is a coffee house with a full kitchen and a menu that goes past the usual breakfast fare. You will also find avocado toast, frittatas, French toast casserole, and quiches.
Minnie’s Beach Café

Minnie’s is a casual, family-owned local favorite known for hearty breakfasts. The menu includes pancakes, waffles, omelets, bagel and egg sandwiches, and fresh fruit. The Big Easy is a large plate of eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, a biscuit with gravy, grits, and toast, and it is the one to order if you are very hungry. Daily specials include Southern-style Benedicts. Minnie’s is cash only, so come prepared.
Paradise Bagels and Café

Wicked Cantina pairs classic American breakfasts with Tex-Mex favorites.
