Parasailing is a thrilling activity that entails being towed by a motor boat while an open parachute allows you to glide in the air.
Each parasailing trip starts with a boat ride. Once the boat is out on open water, parasailing takeoffs can begin. After sitting on the launching pad, riders gently rise into the air. The FAA allows flying up to 400 feet high. Companies offer flight times between 8 to 15 minutes. Participants can choose to fly solo or in tandem.
Once the flight is over, riders have two landing options: stay completely dry by landing back on the launching pad or make a splash by dunking in the water.
Parasailing offers an exhilarating and unforgettable sightseeing experience to explore Anna Maria Island. From high in the air, you can enjoy a birds-eye view of the natural beauty, turquoise water, and local wildlife on Anna Maria Island. Glide high above the Gulf waters while feeling the wind and the sun on your skin.
Several experienced companies cater to thrill-seekers and tourists looking to add a touch of adventure to their Anna Maria Island vacation.
