One of my favorite things about Anna Maria Island is how easy it is to bring your dog along for the ride, including to dinner. So many restaurants have shaded patios where your pup can settle in while you enjoy a meal and a cold drink. Some spots even set out water bowls, and a few will spoil your dog with their own little menu item.
Below is my running list of dog friendly restaurants and bars on the island, organized by location so you can plan your day a little easier.

An eclectic little café with a made-from-scratch menu covering breakfast, lunch, specialty coffees, and smoothies. I always bring my own Tervis tumbler for the smoothies. Inside, a small shop sells local art, handmade jewelry, and beach-themed gifts worth a browse.

Tampa Bay and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge provide the backdrop for a solid American seafood menu and handcrafted cocktails. Don’t miss out on their calamari. It’s my favorite on the island.

Coastal Close
There is something so simple and good about a meal with your dog at your feet and a Gulf breeze in the air. It is one of the small things that makes this island feel like home. Just remember that patio availability can shift with the season, so a quick call ahead never hurts.
