This guide is organized by city, so wherever you are staying, from Anna Maria to Holmes Beach to Bradenton Beach, you can find the closest good cup, plus one stop worth the short drive to Cortez.

Hours, especially for the smaller shops and coffee trailers, tend to shift with the seasons, so it is always worth a quick call or a look at a shop’s Instagram before you head out.

Anna Maria has the highest concentration of coffee shops on the island, clustered mostly along Pine Avenue.

It has quickly become one of the most talked-about coffee stops in Anna Maria. The early hours make it a good pick for early risers who want a serious cup before the beach fills up. Focused, no-fuss, and consistently good.

Cool Beans AMI

Cool Beans AMI roasts its own beans in small batches and runs the whole process from bean to cup, right across the street from the Anna Maria City Pier. Expect a casual, funky spot with local art on the walls, a shaded patio overlooking the pier and Tampa Bay inlet, and a friendly regulars-only feel that new visitors settle into fast. A solid pick before or after a walk on the pier, and one of the easiest coffee stops to reach if you are staying anywhere in Anna Maria proper.

The Donut Experiment

Ginny’s and Jane E’s Cafe

Ginny’s and Jane E’s is one of Anna Maria’s most colorful and eclectic breakfast and coffee spots, part cafe, part bakery, and part gift shop, with local art on the walls and a pastry case that is hard to walk past. The Happy Manatee

The Happy Manatee is a newer juice bar and coffee shop in the city of Anna Maria, serving juices, acai bowls, coffee, breakfast bowls, and toasts. With about eight seats inside plus outdoor seating, it is a good pick for sitting down rather than rushing through an order.

Mademoiselle Paris French Restaurant

North Shore Cafe

Northend The Coffee Boutique

Northend is a newer addition to the Anna Maria coffee scene, and it is already earning a strong reputation for carefully made drinks and top-of-the-line ingredients. The space has a coastal boutique feel, with curated goods for sale alongside the latte.

The Fox Mercantile

Tucked into historic Cortez Village a few minutes from the island, this family-run spot pairs an in-house Foxi Coffee bar (espresso, cold brew, chai lattes, matcha, and the playful Little Fox Shakes) with waffles, avocado toast, and breakfast burritos. The redesigned space has a cozy interior and a spacious outdoor patio, plus a boutique of coastal gifts, homewares, and clothing to browse while you sip.
