MUST HAVES IN MY BEACH BAG

Enjoying the sand and sun is a quintessential part of exploring Croatia. There are a few “must haves” when spending time at the beach in Croatia. A truly enjoyable day at the beach requires a bit of planning. Here is what’s worth packing.

Water Shoes

About 75% of beaches along the Croatian coast are rocky, with the remaining 25% being pebble beaches. Before traveling to Croatia my friends gave me a warning: “Bring water shoes, the beaches are pebbly and there are sea urchins!”

Once I stepped foot on the beach, I was so thankful I heeded their advice and brought water shoes on my trip. These water shoes made walking much easier. They literally saved our soles…no pun intended.

These sleek Speedo Surfknit Pro feel like you are slipping into a second skin—and the sturdy outsole designed for secure traction provides security.

These Crocs Women’s Literide 360 Sandal have are light yet strudy. They are superbly cushioned for comfort with the foam insoles offering a sink-in softness, and the
flexible straps feel broken-in from the first day.

Sunscreen

The sun is very strong in Croatia…sunscreen is essential. Make sure to throw in your sun protection essentials in your beach bag before heading to the beach. As a Floridian, I have tried numerous sunscreen products. It’s important to look for a sunscreen that is above SPF 30.

This game changing face sunscreen is completely invisible and scentless—both reef-safe and oil-free—and provides waterproof SFP 40 coverage.

This body sunscreen is my tried-and-true favorite—it’s sweat and water resistant for up to 80 minutes —and it doesn’t leave a white cast.

This lip formula includes shea butter for moisture and sunflower seed oil for hydration—the lightweight formula absorbs quickly into your lips—and leaves behind zero white cast.

Water Bottle

Hydration is key when you’re in the sun! I always travel with my Yeti insulated tumbler for ice water and adult beverages. I love Yeti because it keeps my drinks cold all day. A good insulated tumbler may be all the encouragement you need to stay adequately hydrated throughout your beach day.

This YETI Rambler 20 oz. tumbler provides the quality you deserve— equipped to ensure that your drink stays cold to the last gulp—and the shatter-resistant lid makes it easy to get a quick sip while on the move.

I’m curious…which beach did you pick?

Until next time…
